Where does the money go?
The beneficiary for Lee National Denim Day® is the American Cancer Society®, the largest voluntary health organization in the United States, which is passionately committed to saving lives from cancer and finishing the fight. Donations help the American Cancer Society save lives by funding groundbreaking breast cancer research; providing free, comprehensive information and support to those touched by breast cancer; and helping people take steps to reduce their breast cancer risk or find it early when it's most treatable.Read more
This year more than 200,000 American women are expected to be diagnosed with breast cancer. The American Cancer Society’s screening guidelines encourages the early detection of breast cancer with mammograms, allowing treatments to be more successful. With help from the American Cancer Society, more than 203,000 breast cancer deaths have been averted since 1991.
